Waxing Aftercare
Your skin may be a little sensitive after your wax, so giving it some extra love for the first couple of days will help keep it calm, smooth, and comfortable.

The First 24 Hours
Try not to touch, rub, or scratch the area after your wax. Your skin is more sensitive right after your appointment, so the less you mess with it, the better.
Skip hot baths, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers for the first 24 hours.
Sweat and friction can cause irritation, so I recommend giving your skin a 24-hour break from intense workouts.
Wait at least 24 hours before getting into a pool, hot tub, lake, or the ocean.
Freshly waxed skin can be more sensitive to the sun. Avoid tanning beds and prolonged sun exposure for at least 24–48 hours.
Especially after a Brazilian or bikini wax, loose-fitting clothing and breathable underwear will help prevent unnecessary rubbing and irritation.
For the first 24 hours, avoid perfumes, body sprays, fragranced lotions, deodorants, harsh scrubs, and anything else that may irritate freshly waxed skin.
Try to avoid makeup on the freshly waxed area for 12–24 hours. Your skin just had a little work done, so give it some time to breathe.
If You've Had a Brazilian or Bikini Wax
Avoid sexual activity for 24 hours after your wax. I know life doesn't always stop for a wax appointment, but giving the area a full day to recover can help prevent unnecessary irritation.
Try to avoid anything that creates a lot of heat, sweat, or friction during that first day as well.
After 48 Hours
Wait at least 48 hours before exfoliating. Once your skin has settled, gentle exfoliation a few times a week can help keep dead skin from building up and can help prevent ingrown hairs.
You don't need to scrub hard—gentle is always better.
Once your skin has settled, use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to keep the area soft and hydrated.
Staying on a consistent waxing schedule—usually every 4–6 weeks—will help you stay on track with your natural hair-growth cycle.
Try not to shave between appointments if you can. I know the temptation is there, but shaving can interrupt your growth cycle and make your next wax a little more difficult.
Some redness, sensitivity, or small bumps immediately after waxing can be completely normal, especially with intimate waxing. This should settle as your skin calms down.
If something doesn't seem right or you have a reaction that concerns you, please reach out. I'm always happy to help you figure out the best next step.
